Notion alternative

Bukmarkz vs Notion

Notion is a full workspace for pages, databases and team projects, and it can hold your links too. Bukmarkz does one job: it keeps your saved links, sorts them for you and finds them by meaning, without databases or templates to set up.

Which should you pick?

Pick Notion if

  • You want one workspace for documents, wikis, projects and links, and your team already works in it.
  • You write long documents or build databases around your saved material.
  • You need a Safari clipper or a phone share sheet today.

Pick Bukmarkz if

  • You only want a place for your links and do not want to build and maintain databases.
  • You want new saves sorted for you, and to find an old one by describing it.
  • You save a lot "for later" and want unread links to clear out on their own.
  • You want your saves in Claude or Cursor without opening up a whole workspace, and private saves that never leave your device.

Move your saved links from Notion

  1. In Notion, open the database where you keep your links. Click the ••• icon at the top right, choose Export, then pick Markdown & CSV. Notion downloads a zip file.
  2. Unzip it and find the CSV for your links database. Bukmarkz needs a column with the web address, headed URL, Link or Href. If your database has no such column, add a URL property first and export again.
  3. Create a free Bukmarkz account, open Import bookmarks and drop the CSV in. Duplicates are skipped, and nothing changes in Notion.

Questions

Is Bukmarkz a good Notion alternative for saving links?

For links, often yes. Notion is a full workspace, so saving links there means setting up and maintaining a database. Bukmarkz does only links and quick notes, sorts them for you, and finds them by meaning. If you need documents, wikis and team projects, Notion is the better tool, and many people keep both.

Can I import my Notion links into Bukmarkz?

Yes, if your links are in a database with a URL column. Export it as Markdown & CSV from Notion, then upload the CSV on the Import page. Page text and attachments do not carry over, only the links, titles and tags where the CSV has them.

Does Bukmarkz replace Notion?

No. Bukmarkz is not a workspace for documents or projects. It replaces the links database you built inside one.

Does Notion also work with Claude and Cursor?

Yes. Notion offers a hosted MCP server, and so does Bukmarkz. Notion’s covers your whole workspace; Bukmarkz’s covers your saved links and highlights.

Do I need a credit card to try Bukmarkz?

No. You can claim 6 months of Pro free without entering a card.
